Our journey begins with wagging tails and puppy kisses, all under one roof! Here at Mertens Dachshund Puppies, we don't just raise adorable pups, we nurture a whole lot of wiggly goodness right in the heart of our home.
At Mertens Dachshund Puppies, we started raising dachshunds in 2022 to provide an alternative to puppy mills. Our dogs are raised in our own home and are cherished as part of our family. To ensure the health of our puppies, all our dogs undergo DNA testing through Embark to screen for genetic health risks. With us, you can rest assured that you will be taking home a happy and healthy dachshund without increased risks of health problems.
At Mertens Dachshund Puppies, we raise our puppies in our own home for 8 weeks before they transition to their forever homes. During this critical period, they are socialized with humans and other dogs, start their potty and kennel training, and receive plenty of snuggles!
Your adorable little puppy will arrive in your loving home fully up to date on all the necessary shots and deworming treatments, and will also be eligible for registration with the ACA, ensuring a smooth transition and a happy, healthy start to your new life together.
